With little ones back to school, now is the perfect time to up the anti and pack a whole lot of extra vitamins into their diet, and keep those pesky germs at bay.

These gummies are inspired by my dear friend and co author Naturopath and Nutritionist Helen Padarin.

It’s important to source grass fed and finished gelatin. I love Changing Habits gelatin and Great Lakes Gelatin which you will find here.

This recipe is great for healing tummies, and supporting joint health.

This recipe makes a firm jelly. If you would like it wobblier just use less gelatin.

 

Method

 

Squeeze and strain the juice of oranges and lemons. If your child is fussy omit the lemons and gradually add in over time.

Place the strained juice in a saucepan off the heat, and sprinkle the gelatin over the top. Allow the gelatin to bloom. That just means combine, but it sounds a bit fancy right?

Bring the combined gelatin and juice to the boil for approx 5 mins stiring constantly.

Take off the heat and allow to cool. Add your sweetner of choice and the vitamin c. Combine thoroughly and pour into moulds.

I find transferring the liquid into a pouring jug the best way to not spill the mixture all over the moulds.

 

Place in fridge and allow to set for a few hours.

Go and find the coolest moulds! Ebay and etsy have a wonderful selection. These are perfect snacks and lunchbox fillers.
